Three contenders to direct Fantastic Four reboot
Development on a reboot of Fantastic Four isn’t scheduled to begin after work on X-Men: First Class is completed. Despite that, Twentieth Century Fox is already pursuing actors for the title roles and now it looks like the studio is looking into a director.
According to Comic Book Movies,  Joe Carnahan (A-Team), David Yates (Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows), and James McTeigue (Ninja Assassin) are the top three contenders to direct the film.
Source indicate that one of those three is close to signing a deal with the studio soon. This reboot is said to have a more dramatic take on the franchise, and is said to introduce characters that have yet to be seen in film. However, two that will appear are Dr. Doom and the Silver Surfer, but the extent of their roles is unclear at the moment. The studio is also looking to release the film in 3-D during the summer of 2012.
