Thor plot synopsis appears

Here’s hoping that it’s the right one, because this is the latest to float around the internet. Regardless, it’s still something worth reporting, especially in the event that it becomes one hundred percent true. Kenneth Branagh’s Thor is one of the more under the radar Marvel Studios movies that a lot of people are not really giving much attention to, or having high hopes for. Maybe this plot from The Playlist will change (or not change) your mind.:

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

The Paramount Pictures film stars Chris Hemsworth as the Norse god along with Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Jaimie Alexander, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and many more. The latest origin film to help round out the cast of Marvel Avengers characters comes out in theaters on May 6th, 2011. Meanwhile, if you need your yearly dose of Marvel sooner than that, have no fear because Iron Man 2 is coming out in theaters and IMAX on May 7th of this year.
