Thor hogs up Spidey’s Slot

We have previously reported that Spider-Man 4 got the hiatus status from Marvel Enterprises due to script problems, or at least it’s been a rumor for a little while. It’s time to throw that into the confirmed pile as Marvel does a pretty swift movement of date changes with putting Kenneth Branagh’s Thor in the May 6th, 2011 time slot that Spidey originally was going to take. According to Variety, it will all change back to how it previously was scheduled if Spider-Man 4 ends up going back to it’s original slot.

Not only that, but Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides went and took a jump into the May 20th release slot where Thor originally was placed. With Spider-Man being one of the ultimate franchises that basically started the entire comic book adaptation craze in the start of the 2000s, next to X-Men, it’s no wonder that they’re giving the creepy crawler the red carpet treatment.
