First off I have to say that one of the strangest casting choices is choosing Disney princess Vanessa Hudgens to play the ‘Belle’ in this modern day take of the popular tale Beauty and the Beast with Daniel Barnz’s written and directed take called Beastly. In it a New York teen (Alex Pettyfer) is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find true love.

Right below are a couple of production stills from the feature (from JoBlo) that show off our two lead characters. That’s basically it actually. The fantasy romance film from Lionsgate and CBS Films comes out in theaters for the teen audience to gobble up on July 30th.:
