Theron in the next Mad Max?

Submitted by Melissa Molina on October 22, 2009 – 10:13 amNo Comment

charlizeE! Online is reporting that Academy Award winning actress Charlize Theron could end up being the female lead in the fourth Mad Max movie. George Miller, director of the first three Mad Max movies, has been very quiet when it comes to particular details of what is going on with this sequel. The next question on everyone’s minds is if Mel Gibson would come back to reprise his role. This is what E! got Miller to say on the subject:

When he announced that he would begin work on the sequel back in 2007, Miller admitted Gibson was too old for the antihero role of “Mad” Max Rockatansky, and said, “I don’t think he would be interested in being involved at all.”

Well if Gibson had any sort of hope with trying to get back into that role, he will have to do a lot of persuading, especially since “Bronson” actor Tom Hardy is being eyeballed for the role. George Miller is currently working on “Happy Feet 2 in 3D” which he wrote, directed and produced.
