The Thing will be completely CG

Not to be confused with Universal’s prequel to John Carpenter’s The Thing, but Fantastic Four’s The Thing will apparently done with complete CG. Twentieth Century Fox’s Fantastic Four films weren’t well received amongst most fans, and the studio is now planning a reboot titled Fantastic Four Reborn. This will be a great opportunity to fix many of the fans had, among them included the portrayal of The Thing.

Screenrant received word from an insider over at Fox, and confirmed The Thing will be portrayed in full CG. When Ben Grim began The Thing, he towered over the rest of the members, but that couldn’t be shown with prosthetics. With the advancements in the technology, we can surely expect to see something along the lines of Hulk and The Abomination from The Incredible Hulk.

Another thing the source pointed out is that developed on the film won’t start until after X-Men: First Class is done. That film isn’t scheduled to begin shooting until September 21st this year.
