The Piper toots onto the big screen

THR reports that several production companies are eyeballing the adaptation of the Grimm Fairy Tales comic book version of The Piper. The twisted story revolves around a high school student named Sean stumbles upon a mysterious book that will give him the ability to finally get back at those who have wronged him the last few years. But when Sean realizes exactly what he has summoned, he knows that the price of revenge is certainly not worth the trouble, because it’s time to pay the Piper (Heavy Ink). The companies that are licking their chops on this property for collaboration are Zenescope Entertainment, Pantry Films and Persistent Entertainment.

The only other people onboard this production other than the companies themselves are producers Matthew Rhodes and Dan Keston. No word on yet on who will pen the script, and not even a smidgen of a clue as to who would end up helming this picture.
