The Outer Limits comes from Saw

Surprisingly, MGM, who we believe is bankrupt, has announced that Saw IV-3D screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan have been hired to adapt the popular sci-fi television series into a feature film for the studio (via /Film).  It’ll be interesting to see what route they go for a 90-120 minute film. The stories usually had a clever twist at the end and focused on aliens, robots, and other science-fiction fun. No word on how this affects Dunstan’s proposed The Collector sequel.
