The Oscars make their way back to February

Those of you who were complaining about the Academy Awards arriving a little too late on the first half of the year don’t have any reason to anymore. Award organizers announced that it will be making its way back to the typical February slot. That means there will not be as wide of a gap between the voting processes like there was with the previous March scheduled date.

Nominations are expected to be announced for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards on January 25th, 2011. The actual awards ceremony will now take place on Sunday, February 27th (THR).
