The latest on The Crow remake

It’s unfortunate of me to go and remind you of the remake that’s coming our way of The Crow, but it must happen mainly due to the brand new update on the project. Stephen Norrington, best known for his directed work on The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, is poised to helm this feature. However, there has been a recent announcement that the director is taking on The Lost Patrol. Due to that, a great number of us are figuring that he won’t have any time to go and still try to helm this remake, right? Wrong.

Norrington is still taking on the remake that he has already penned, says ShockTillYouDrop. Relativity Media is helping out with the funding of the picture with Edward R. Pressman Films and Jeff Most Productions also attached to it. The comic book turned film story line is still the same, centering on Eric Draven, a rock musician who is revived from the dead to avenge his own murder, as well as that of his fiancĂŠe. The original feature starred the late Brandon Lee and had a great box office run when it was released back in 1994. The remake is scheduled for a to-be-announced 2011 release date.
