The Last Airbender and Green Hornet go into 3-D land
Those of us who went and saw the Louis Leterrier remade version Clash of the Titans were cringing in our seats when we had to deal with it in the lackluster 3D. So when we hear the news that not only is M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender jumping into the third dimenson, the same goes for the recently pushed back Green Hornet.
Ain’t It Cool News broke the story on The Last Airbender, stating that although the Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures film will not be shifting from it’s intial release date it will be presented in 3-D. While this display of 3-D has been in the works for a little while now in post-production, only now has it been considered and confirmed immediately for The Green Hornet. Here’s a little more information below on what they have to move in order to give enough time for them to convert the Michael Gondry film into 3-D (from Heat Vision Blog).:
To accommodate the work, the Seth Rogen starrer will move from its previous release date of Dec. 22 to Jan. 14. To allow the “Hornet” move, Sony will shift comics-inspired vampire actioner “Priest” from a Jan. 14 launch to March 4. “Priest” has long been tagged as a 3D production.
Now that they’re both going to be presented in more than two dimensions, is anybody looking forward to either of these films? The Last Airbender flies into theaters on July 2nd.
