The Hobbit possibly delayed?

It looks like the epic prequel film to the Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, might be affected by the MGM sale. “At this stage we are all working and hoping for the best case scenario. Without a doubt, the MGM situation carries great importance, says a source according to The One Ring. True, such things as a fire sale could affect productions, but can we believe a “source”? Andy Serkis, Gollum himself, said: “At some point towards the end of this year I expect it will start kicking off.” I’m sure all involved would want this film to get done, because del Toro has to give us Hellboy 3. All jokes aside, why is there so little news on this film? Sorry, Hobbit fans, you might hae to wait a tad longer.
