The Hobbit casting rumors
The Hobbit is still in pre-production, but don’t look for Ian Holm in the film, playing Bilbo Baggins again. It’s a big part to feel, and it’s known that Peter Jackson will be at Comic Con, so maybe an announcement then? But early word is the short list for the role are: David Tennant (Dr. Who), James McAvoy (Wanted) or Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter).
One can only assume Guillermo del Toro knows what’s right for the film.

would be fantastic if Jackson would give hobbit news but if he had time after promoting the hell out of District 9 there
While I like Tennant…I think McAvoy should get the role of Bilbo.
That’s great that Peter Jackson is going to Comic-Con for the first time next weekend, hopefully he’ll suprise everyone with a trailer for “The Lovely Bones”.

i completely agree. i am actually looking forward to the lovely bones trailer more so than district 9 even though that is highly unlikely to happen with the booths that are currently being prepped

Are you going to Comic-Con Daniel? I went in ’06-’07 and had a blast!

I’m still deciding whether i will go to the con’. should find out by tomorrow.
Hopefully, Jackson will announce his retirement from film. I vow to never sit through another 3 hour PJ film. Mark my words boys…

He has made some movies that are about 30-45 minutes too long(LOTR & King Kong), but as far as I’m concerned, he hasn’t made a bad one yet.
