The Final Destination to the fifth degree

Alan Horn from Warner Bros Pictures revealed to those at ShoWest yesterday that there is a fifth film of Final Destination in the works, says Coming Soon. The only way this sudden announcement would have come off as a surprise to anybody is if the last installment bombed, which it did not with an estimated $66 Million domestically, definitely giving them at least a little bit of cash with their $40 Million dollar budget. It goes along with the notion of why stop a good thing, especially when that good thing still consistently gives the studio some more cash in it’s pocket.

At the same time, when you have a title like The Final Destination, you would figure at that point it was drawing towards the end of it’s series, but that’s obviously not true. Then again, one of the things that must have helped with the fourth film’s success was the use of 3D, which is never really a bad thing when it pertains to a horror feature.
