The Dark Knight breaks dvd/blu-ray records

As if anyone was not expecting Tuesdays numbers to be HUGE for The Dark Knights blu ray sales today we have word from Nikki Fink that the film sold 600,000 copies on blu- ray alone and sold 3 million total for the DAY  in standard DVD.  Though the numbers are astronomical figues to be reckoned with, it is expected to continue shattering expectations and end the weeks take with 7 million dollars ( cue doctors evil).

Previous record holder was this summers Iron Man release which had a sales total of 250,000 blu ray sales in one day.
