The controversial I Love You Phillip Morris gets a release finally

It’s been a long, treacherous road for the Bad Santa screenwriters’ I Love You Phillip Morris, which stars Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. After a 2009 Sundance hit, the film danced in and out of a variety of release dates, to only go into “delayed indefinitely”. Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp has arranged a deal with Roadside Attractions for a December 3rd, 2010 date.

The movie, which was inspired by a true story, follows Steven Russell Carrey), a con-man who falls in love with his prison cellmate, Phillip Morris (McGregor), and after Morris’ release, Russell repeatedly escapes prison in order to see him again.
