The African Queen is coming to Blu-ray

Submitted by Jon Peters on January 15, 2010 – 8:24 amNo Comment

Warner Bros. is set to release the classic Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn film on March 23rd on Blu-ray for the first time ever! A DVD release is set as well, as the film is being restored and digitally scanned at 4k. High def fans will notice this is the choice restoration process as seen recently from WB with Casablanca and Wizard of Oz Blu-ray releases.

Look for, amongst many other extras, Embracing the Chaos: The Making of the African Queen documentary, rare archival images and on set footage. Also available will be a Commemorative Limited Edition Box Set, much like the ones WB did for Gone with the Wind and Wizard of Oz.
