Taylor Swift as Supergirl?

Submitted by Melissa Molina on December 21, 2009 – 8:46 am2 Comments

supergirlGraze it away in the rumor mill of sorts as murmurs of Taylor Swift being on the top of the list for a Supergirl reboot from Warner Bros Pictures emerges from Cinematical. It is not uncommon for some sort of singer to transition from the concert halls to the big screen, but this one is definitely a head scratcher. If this really is the case and the rumor is true, then Swift would be trying to make Supergirl more appealing other than being another blonde chick with a mid-drift top like Helen Slater did in the 1984 failure of a film.

DC Comics currently has a few superheroes on the back burner to get the big screen treatment, the top on the list being an adaptation of the Hal Jordan version of The Green Lantern. With the 2008 monster success of Warner Bros Pictures’ The Dark Knight, it’s basically a well known fact that DC Comics wants to beat out their competition (Marvel) in more than just through the pages of a comic book.
