Takashi Miike returns with Zebraman 2!

Submitted by Jason Bene on December 20, 2009 – 11:57 pmNo Comment

0c7d12ebWhile the U.S. waits for some sort of release for Yatterman, Takashi Miike is already hard at work on Zebraman 2, a sequel to his 2004 superhero film. The plot crunch for the original is below.

Shinichi is a second-rate third-grade teacher who gets no respect from his family and little from his students. It seems that in 1978 he fell in love with a tv super hero named Zebraman that was cancelled shortly after airing. The show was set in 2010 so this year he sews himself a makeshift Zebraman costume and slinks around the city at night.
