Summit keeps Lautner in Cancun

Submitted by Melissa Molina on December 18, 2009 – 9:26 am5 Comments

taylor-lautner-moon-jobSummit Entertainment is making sure that their newest Twilight golden boy is still within their grasp as hunk-of-the-moment Taylor Lautner signs on for the action spec Cancun. Lautner’s pop, Dan Lautner, will be producing along with Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey under Temple Hill Productions. The story centers on an out-of-place college kid who travels with a girl to Cancun on a break. While there, the girl and her friends are taken hostage by a drug cartel and he is forced to save them (THR).

The script is written up by Grant Thompson and Eric Champnella but no director is attached to the project yet. Lautner can still be seen in theaters co-starring along Kristen Stewart in Twilight Saga: New Moon or you can gaze away at him in the February 12th release of New Line Cinema’s Valentine’s Day.
