Summit is going to Drive Angry
Summit Entertainment grabbed onto the domestic distribution rights to the upcoming Nicolas Cage film Drive Angry. The feature is a revenge tale that centers Cage who’s driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control, as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway (THR). The blood fest will be featured in wonderful 3D, so Nicolas Cage’s shiny receding hairline can be seen in the third dimension.
The thriller is directed by Patrick Lussier and penned by himself along with Todd Farmer. Lussier previously directed films like My Bloody Valentine and is in talks along with Todd Farmer to write/direct in Halloween III. Drive Angry is currently in pre-production with a 2010 estimated release date.
