Summit finds an Alibi

080409_alibiSummit Entertainment is finding anything they can get their hands on and Alibi is the latest victim of sorts to be gobbled up. Top Cow is back in the popularity seat again with the adaptation of Alibi which centers on a well-known socialite whose public presence establishes a perfect alibi for the covert activity of his secret twin brother, a government assassin (Variety). John Hlavin is penning the script with Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman both producing.

Hlavin is nicely in demand nowadays, already having signed up to write Underworld 4 as mentioned in an earlier article and also attached to write the obviously western film The Gunslinger. No word on who will be directing it but if I were to make a healthy guess I would say that they plan to have this sucker ready and raring to go for the big screen by 2011.
