Strand acquires Downloading Nancy.

Strand Releasing acquired the domestic distribution rights for Downloading Nancy, which was in competition at Sundance this year. The film which is based on a true story was directed by  Johan Renck, and stars “Maria Bello, Jason Patric, Rufus Sewell and Amy Brenneman, concerns a damaged, despairing housewife who turns to the Internet to find a partner to fulfill her darkest desires.”  

I haven’t seen this flick yet, but it looks interesting and the cast is amazing.  Read more about the deal at Variety’s website.
