Stephen King’s Dark Tower movie has a date
The planned film (here) based on Stephen King’s seemingly un-filmable Dark Tower has a new release date from Universal (via Deadline): May 17th, 2013 from director Ron Howard. The gumbo-mix of genres, Dark Tower has been the one long-running series King has slowly developed (and once thought he would never finish the series), is a metaphorical journey besides the obvious, so it’ll be interesting to see how a director like Ron Howard goes with it.
I’ve never been too high on Howard as a director. Thoughts?
