Stephen Daldry to direct Breaking Dawn?
While The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is set to hit theatres this summer, Summit Entertainment has yet to find a director for the final entry in the series. There have been a few directors that have been taken into consideration, and we can now can add Stephen Daldry (The Hours, The Reader) to the list of potential directors.
Total Film has the news:
“Having already been listing Sofia Coppola, Gus Van Sant and Bill Condon as possibles to direct either one (or both) of the two-part series staker, they have now added Stephen Daldry to their wishlist.”
After having been nominated for two Oscars, we can say that he has a good chance of getting the job. But with Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote the previous Twilight films, still working on the script(s) we won’t hear any official announcement until its completion.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is set to hit theaters and IMAXon June 30, 2010.
