Stephen Chow not directing The Green Hornet

In the saddest news of the day we learn that acclaimed director Stephen Chow will no longer be directing the Seth Rogen rogen vehicle: The Green Hornet.  Chow, whose previous credits included the amazing films Kung Fu Hustle and CJ7, had removed himself from the directing chair citing “creative differences”.  Though Stephen Chow is no longer spearheading the film he is still attatched to star in the films supporting role as kato.

Personally, this news saddens me as I though his over the top directing style would compliment this particular superhero quite well.  A new director is said to be announced before the years end.
