Statham is part of The Killer Elite

Submitted by Melissa Molina on March 12, 2010 – 8:24 amNo Comment

Jason Statham is the latest addition to the new project entitled The Killer Elite. He is fixed on to star as a former Navy Seal who is forced out of retirement to save his closest friend (Variety). The feature is based off of the novel The Feather Men written by Ranulph Fiennes. Directing the picture is Gary McKendry, this being his first feature length film after helming commercials. Steve Chasman and Joni Sighvatsson are producing along with Jim Seibel and Bill Johnson under Inferno Entertainment.

Statham always appears to be filling up his time with as many films as possible. The next one he’s set to be in puts him next to several action stars like Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li and others in The Expendables, set to blast into theaters on August 13th.
