Star Wars gets even more animated

Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, creators of the popular Adult Swim series Robot Chicken, are able to cut loose comedically even more on the Star Wars universe thanks to a new announcement from Lucasfilms Animation. The powerful company announced their collaboration with Green, Senreich and Brendan Hay on a more comedic take on the Star Wars series in the form of a television show.

No word on when the show will air, but here’s a couple of comments between Green and Senreich on the new deal to The Hollywood Reporter.:

“The ‘Star Wars’ universe is so dense and rich; it’s crazy to think that there aren’t normal, mundane everyday problems in a world so well-defined,” Green said. “What do these characters do when they’re not overthrowing empires?”

Added Senreich, “We’re going to pull back the curtain of some of those behind-the-scenes shenanigans.”

I've been in love with film ever since I was a kid. The time, effort and passion that runs through a majority most film is something that's always attracted me to this field. What ended up happening with my big appetite for all things going on in the industry turned from random blurbs on Facebook to an unexpected but fun job. College student by day, movie news writer by early morning...or any time in the day and night when more news arrives. Working towards my bachelor's degree in film, what a surprise. I do other things too, like draw, write stories, maintain a social life and feed my pet dragon Lockheed. If you want to know more about me, hunt me down and just ask.
