Star Trek sequel; writers are open to the possibilites

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the screenwriters for Abrams Star Trek reboot, claim they are considering storylines for the sequel and have “an open canvas so anything can happen.” Do they deal with an original storyline or tackle a previous one with a twist? This is what they’re considering. The film was a huge hit here in the States, but it’s only doing average numbers internationally. One should expect huge DVD and Blu Ray sales though.
