Sony Pictures Classics wants to Meet A Tall Dark Stranger

You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger found itself a distribution home as Sony Pictures Classic takes the latest Woody Allen film under it’s wing to be shown off to as many screens as it can muster within the United States, reports The Playlist. This is the part where we go on about what the film’s about, unfortunately Allen has not made that clear to the general public so there’s not much going for that section.

The film has a large cast that includes Antonio Banderas, Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin, Freida Pinto and Lucy Punch among many others. Since the initial filming for this picture is already wrapped up and it’s knee deep in post-production, it’s more than likely that this feature will see the light of day in theaters sometime presumably this fall.

Sony Pictures Classic has previously backed up a Woody Allen film last year, that being Whatever Works which stars Larry David. There are a couple of features from their list that have gone on to get Academy Award nominations in certain categories, An Education and The White Ribbon being a couple of them. The latest flick to come out of the distribution batch of this company is the thriller Chloe which stars Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried.
