Soderbergh’s Moneyball vs Sony
Moneyball the new Steven Soderberg(The Girlfriend Experience, Che, Ocean’s 11) film is facing a tough time at Sony Pictures. Three days before filming was to begin on the Brad Pitt starring film, Sony decided to let go of the film last Friday, and gave Soderbergh the weekend to find a new studio. The reason? Amy Pascal, Sony’s bigwig, was vastly displeased on the shotting script, since the film doesn’t follow traditional sport film conventions, and is apparently rather innovative in its apporach to the subject.
The budget was a reported $60 million. We shall see what happens next.
