Soderbergh dumps everything for Contagion

Submitted by Melissa Molina on February 8, 2010 – 9:33 pm3 Comments

The appeal of the script Contagion really got to director Steven Soderbergh as he completely threw all other projects he’s attached to at the moment to the side just to focus purely on this, says The Playlist. The story is about an outbreak of a deadly virus, already including a stellar cast that has the likes of Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Matt Damon and Marion Cotillard.

Among the projects that he’s pushed to the side right now is Liberace and the spy feature Knockout, now completely floating about in development as Soderbergh throws Contagion on the fast track. The script for Contagion is penned by Scott Z. Burns, who’s better known for his script work in The Bourne Ultimatum and The Informant!.
