Snyder Directing ‘300′… Part 2…

Submitted by Michael Cook on June 25, 2009 – 8:05 pmNo Comment

In an interview with Superhero Hype, Director Zack Snyder stated “I know for a fact that Frank [Miller] is writing right now,” in regards to a sequel for the blood-soaked Greek epic. He goes on to state that the technology would be the same as the tech used in the first one, in order to to keep from making it “look too Star Wars-ian” in comparison to the original.

While this sequel could seem to be as valid as a sequel to Titanic, Snyder promises for “bigger visions, though I’d hope for the same aesthetic.”

We’ll see. Greek history is very near and dear to me, and hopefully this sequel doesn’t take the name 300 with it. Focusing on the burning of Athens and the backlash to the Persians the following spring would be stellar. If you’re lost, or want to know more, you can learn about it here.
