Snipes wants a Blade 4
With the release of next week’s Brooklyn’s Finest, Wesley Snipes is back on the big screen after a little absence. At a recent press junket for the film, Wesley Snipes, who was last seen theatrical in Blade: Trinity, was very vocal about a fourth Blade. Of course, he said the script must be right. Besides the short-lived SpikeTV series, there’s been talks about bring the character of Blade back.
Should this be a fourth film or a reboot? I personally like the character, and while screenwriter David S. Goyer and Snipes had issues on and off set during Blade: Trinity, a film that focused more on the Night Stalkers than Blade, one has to honor the fact that without the success of that 1998 film, Marvel might not be the motion picture powerhouse it is today. Also, the popularity of vampires has never been higher.
