Shannon and Chung find a Premium Rush

Jamie Chung and Michael Shannon are gearing up to be part of the cast for the upcoming thriller Premium Rush, set up over at Columbia Pictures. The David Koepp film managed to already get Joseph Gordon-Levitt to star. Koepp and John Kamps co-wrote the script centered on a bike messenger (Gordon-Levitt) who picks up a package at Columbia University and subsequently catches the attention of a dirty cop.

Shannon plays the deceptively affable cop with a violent temper. Chung would play Gordon-Levitt’s ex, a fellow daredevil bike messenger who helps him outwit the cop (THR). No word yet on when filming will start.

Chung has appeared in several films as of recent including Dragonball: Evolution and Sorority Row. She’ll be seen once more in the Adam Sandler starring comedy Grown Ups, set to come out in theaters everywhere this June 25th. You can see Michael Shannon on the big screen in Warner Bros Pictures’ Jonah Hex, in theaters now.
