Selina Kyle rumored to appear in Batman 3
Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Batman 3 isn’t any stranger to online rumors, and many have been heard since the release of The Dark Knight. With no official announcement from the studio or Nolan on what villain(s) will show in the film, fans continue to speculate over The Riddler. Another character that has been speculated to appear in the film Catwoman.
However, that may turn out to be true, as an insider seems to have got a hold of the script notes for the film.
Comic Book Movies received word from a “reliable source” that Selina Kyle’s name has been referenced a few times in those “script notes”. As every Batman fan knows, Selina Kyle eventually becomes on of Batman’s most famous villains/love interest, Catwoman. Only the character’s name is referenced and nothing on her becoming her villainous alter ego. However, given that it’s reportedly going to be Nolan’s final film, it would seem unlikely that he wouldn’t have her make that transition to Catwoman. The source also mentioned that The Riddler was mentioned in the “script notes”.
We’ve heard that a script has been completed from Aaron Eckhart at Comic-Con, but it’s hard to believe the script notes would be lying around the offices. To make things more suspicious, this rumor didn’t originate from their source. However, with Rachel Dawes out of the picture, it’s very possible Selina Kyle could show up as the new love interest. This is only a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.
Batman 3 is scheduled to open in July of 2012.
