Sean Penn and Jim Carrey to be cast as Three Stooges!!?

Oscar winner and used to be comedic star Sean Penn has just announced as an upcoming Larry for an adaptation of the Three Stooges, to be directed by the Farrely Brothers.  The studios are also hoping to have Benicio Del Toro as Moe and Jim Carrey to be Curly, a role for which the actor is wiling to gain 40 pounds for the role.

The film has been in development for years now, but is finally in the casting stages.  Here is hoping the Farrely Brothers can knock this one out of the park with such quality behind the scenes, as the film will not be a biopic but rather a comedy based around the Three Stooges.
