SDCC ’10: Smith’s Red State gets a Kill Bill alum

Kevin Smith is dropping the laughs for screams in his first horror film, Red State, and now we have a cast member: Michael Parks.

Parks appeared in Tarantino’s films like Kill Bill, Grindhouse, and Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk till Dawn. The film focuses on the true case of terrifying extremism taking place in Topeka, Kansas. Specifically the Westboro Baptist Church, by a man named Fred Phelps who has created an ignorant website called GodHatesFags.com.
