SDCC ’10: Ghoulishly good ad for The Walking Dead

AMC’s The Walking Dead, which premieres this October, has a beautiful poster that will be finding its way to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. This could be the best thing horror wise to hit television since Masters of Horror.

The Walking Dead is an American monthly black and white comic published by Image Comics beginning in 2003. The comic was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore (replaced by Charlie Adlard from issue #7 onward; Moore continued to do the covers until issue #24) and chronicles the travels of a group of people trying to survive in a world stricken by a zombie apocalypse.

“The world we knew is gone. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living. Based on a comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, this AMC project focuses on the world after a zombie apocalypse.”
