Screen Gems throws Priest back some more

The South Korean comic turned feature film is getting the push once more from Screen Gems. This marks the film’s second time it’s gotten the switch, cause if it didn’t we would be seeing the feature out in theaters on August 27th of this year. Priest was recently set for a January 14th, 2011 release, then to March, but now will be coming out in theaters May 13th of next year (CS!).

The Scott Stewart directed film centers on a priest (Paul Bettany) who disobeys church law to track down the vampires who kidnapped his niece (Lily Collins). The cast also includes the talents of Stephen Moyer, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban and Christopher Plummer.

The feature is very loosely based off the comics created by Hyung Min-woo. Have you ever read the comics and what do you think of this upcoming adaptation?
