Scream 4 starts up this spring

Not only is Scream 4 finally going into principal photography this spring, but Wes Craven will be directing the fourth installment of the horror franchise, reports Variety. Those part of the cast include Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette and Brian Cox. The feature is scheduled to be released on April 15, 2011 under Dimension Films.

Craven is continually busy, his latest written/directed work is the 2010 feature My Soul to Take. A remake of his popular horror franchise A Nightmare on Elm Street is getting the remake treatment as Warner Bros Pictures is scheduled to release the Jackie Earle Haley starring flick on April 30rd.

Dimension Films always has catered to many horror features within it’s library, the latest of them being Alexandre Aja’s Piranha 3-D that’s coming out in theaters on August 27th.
