Scream 4 news revealed

Submitted by Daniel Herrera on January 13, 2009 – 2:36 pmNo Comment

Remember back in the 90’s when Wes Cravens Scream franchise bought horror back to the mainstream and proceedingly killed it off entirely with self referential winks to the genre as opposed to actual terror? Well today we learn from the folks over bloody disgusintg that Kevin Williamson, the writer from the 3 scream films has been hired to write a draft for the next installment in the scream franchise.  News is still sketchy as the film is still in it’s early stages but the draft is being written in attempt to revive the franchise and see if the orginal films magic can be recaptured which in turn will be used to get Wes Craven back in the game as director.  No word yet if orginal survivors Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, or David Arquette will return but word is that they will attempt to make the film towards a young audience as opposed to keeping the film with the same story line.
