In a recent interview with MTV, Sam Worthington said that the remake of the classic Clash of the Titans is going to “raise the richter [scale] to 11,” and details with “the scorpions are the size of dump trucks, Medusa is a lot quicker and a lot more [scary.]“A few weeks ago, a picture of one of the scorpions got leaked.

Now, granted there’s no real comparison for the scope of the scorpion, the fact that it’s the size of a dump truck does make it that much more awesome.

The modern remake seems to follow the original fairly closely, and features a great cast. Sam Worthington plays Perseus, who the movie focuses on. The Greek God Zeus, father of Perseus, is portrayed by legend Liam Neeson. The Lord of the Underworld Hades is to be portrayed by Ralph Fiennes, and the slew of others cast can be checked out here.

The original Clash of the Titans is one of Ray Harryhausen’s best works. One of the best uses of claymation by one of the few masters of the art-form. If you’ve not seen it, check it out.
