Scoop: Batman 3 news

While reporting from San Diego’s 2010 Comic-Con, our very own Jason Bene tells us that Christopher Nolan’s untitled Batman 3 has a completed script of some form, and that Aaron Eckhart has read it! Eckhart was appropriately vague, but did confirm that The Joker isn’t in the script.

So we now have 100% confirmation that we will not see The Joker, much like speculation and Nolan himself have stated. More interesting is that Eckhart has read the script. He played Harvey Two-Face and apparently died at the end of The Dark Knight. Was Eckhart reading the script for fun or is Two-Face back?

Let the rumors fly…

  1. Even when I first saw The Dark Knight I never bought that Two-Face was dead. I could definitely see them explaining that the funeral for Harvey Dent was a fake and that they quietly incarcerated Two-Face in Arkham. In fact I kind of hope they do that because I feel like Two-Face’s story was a little rushed in The Dark Knight and could use a movie of it’s own.

  2. I hope they don’t bring Two-face back. Sure I thought Nolan could have done more with the character, but he’s already confirmed his death. Bringing him back now would be like a cheap gimmick (IMO). If you ask me, it would undo the ending of TDK, with Batman breaking his one rule. They could bring him back in flashbacks I guess.
