Satellite winners announced

This years Satellite award winners have been announced and surprises were abound everywhere. Michael Shannon pulled the rug from under Heath Ledgers winning streak by takin best supporting actor for his role in Revolutionary Road as well as Richard Jenkins taking a much deserved underdog win for his sublime performance in The Visitor.

In the bigger categories Slumdog Millionaire continued it’s winning streak taking Best drama film of the year along with best director Danny Boyle, while Mike Leigh’s Happy-go-Lucky took home best comedy of the year over suspected favorite Vicky Christina Barcelona.

Here is this years full list of winners along with their picks for top 10 films of the year.

Best Drama actress: Angelina Jolie -Changeling

Best Comedy Actress: Sally Hawkins-Happy go lucky

Best Drama Actor: Richard Jenks-The visitor
