Sargent goes back to Spidey
Spider-Man scribe Alvin Sargent is back on the web slinger’s band wagon as Columbia Pictures scoops up the veteran writer to do some comic adaptation justice to the upcoming remake. He’ll be doing a polish on the draft of the reboot written by Jamie Vanderbilt.
The new “Spider-Man” is rumored to be more emotionally anchored and realistic than the previous movies. Word is that Peter Parker will be a 17-year-old high school kid struggling with shifting hormones and an outsider status. And let’s not forget the death of his uncle, says Heat Vision Blog.
Marc Webb, director of 500 Days of Summer, is taking the reigns on the adaptation. No word yet on who will be part of the cast for the reboot of sorts.
