Salles finds his Wild Life
Walter Salles, director of Dark Water and a segment of Paris je t’aime, is grabbing onto the reigns of Our Wild Life. The story is a drama based on the life and work of Daphne Sheldrick, an animal conservationist in Kenya who devoted her life to sheltering elephants from war and poaching. She also was an expert in animal husbandry for infant elephants and rhinos (THR). Bridge to Terabithia writer Jeff Stockwell is penning the script for New Line Cinema.
Producing the picture is Cathy Schulman and Peter Guber of Mandalay Pictures. New Line Cinema is making quite a few deals as of late, putting together several pictures such as Hall Pass, The Hobbit Part I & Part II along with Sex and the City 2.
