S.H.I.E.L.D. film may come after The Avengers
When it was announced the Samuel L. Jackson signed a nine-picture deal with Marvel, we knew there would eventually be a film about S.H.I.E.L.D. So far Jackson has only appeared in cameo roles for Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Captain America: The First Avenger as well as a role in The Avengers. Now /Film reports that Marvel is planing a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie after The Avengers:
“The Avengers should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there’ll be a big S.H.I.E.L.D. movie.”
Jackson sounds pretty sure about this, but until Kevin Fiege says otherwise, it’s just hopeful speculation. We already have characters like Black Widow and Agent Coulson who could return for the film. If this film moves forward, then it could be the starting point for some of Marvel’s secondary characters.
The Avengers is scheduled to hit theaters on May 4, 2012.

Agent Coulson, not Johnson

Thanks, it’s been fixed.
A proposed S.H.I.E.L.D. film does little for me to get excited about, since we’ll see enough of them over the course of Thor, Captain America, and Avengers.
