Rumor: Uwe Boll wants to direct Metroid film

No matter how many signatures it takes, Uwe Boll won’t quit making films. And according to Get the Big Picutre, his next video game he wants to bring to life may be the Nintendo classic Metroid. Not only that, but he wants Jessica Simpson for the role of Samus Aran.

Uwe Boll has made a career out of making lackluster video game movies, and this has to potential to be the worst. Jessica Simpson has had one of the worst acting careers to date. However, I would be more concerned about Uwe Boll directing right now than Simpson’s acting. While every fan now knows that Samus has been revealed to be a girl, the actor would stay concealed behind the armor. The director could replace Simpson with another actress to do the stunts and only use Simpson when the helmet is removed.

It may be just a rumor that Boll even has the rights to adapt the character. Nintendo has been guarded about their properties since, and even been turned down an offer for a feature film on Metroid once.
