Rumor: Megatron’s new Transformers 3 form revealed

Megatron’s return in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was highly debated, and despite Bay’s intention of leaking false information, it was revealed to be true. The character was brought back in a new form as a cybertronian tank and jet. It looks like Megatron will be getting a new alternate form this time.

For the past few months, Bay has been blowing up the streets of Chicago for what is supposedly going to the finale of Tranformers 3. A mysterious new tanker has been spotted on set several, with no indication of it’s purpose. It’s been speculated by fans to be a new Autobot or Decepticon. A source close to production told The Imagination Studios Blog that vehicle will be Megatron’s new alternate form. Many of the Autobots have shown be given slightly new designs, or shown with a different alternate mode, so there may be some truth to this. However, this is only a rumor as of right now, so take it with a grain of salt.

Transformers 3 will open on July 1, 2011.
